Oh how the TV and movie companies know how to ruin a good thing. Rumors are bouncing all over the internet that Hulu may soon make it a requirement to prove that you have either a cable or satellite subscription. Needless to say there are tons of people out there who do not have cable and simply pay for Hulu Plus to get their cable fix. I would have a feeling that this would do nothing but hurt Hulu than help it. But then again most of the time when do big cable companies do anything other than shoot themselves in the foot when it comes to these kinds of things. No word whether this would affect the free version of Hulu or the paid version of Hulu Plus. We can only hope that this rumor is just that an unfounded rumor or a misunderstood one. In my mind maybe they are thinking of making Hulu Plus free to people who do subscribe to cable or satellite. This would make a whole lot more sense to me.
