Is this the Google Nexus Tablet?

Gizmodo is reporting that the above picture is a leaked picture of the upcoming Google Branded Tablet that is being made by Asus.  It supposedly has a 1.3 Gz  Tegra 3 processor, 1 gig of ram, 16 gigs of onboard storage, a front facing camera, and an IPS display.

It is believed to be a 7 inch tablet to be priced around $199.  While these specs are no iPad killer it is definitely would blow the Amazon Kindle Fire out of the water.  This is probably their main target since the kindle fire does not use Googles own app store but Amazon's own personalized app store, which means Google doesn't get to see any of that money.

This is a nice looking tablet if this is what it will look like.  Will Amazon have a counter offer after the announcement come this wednesday?  We will just have to wait and see if these rumors are true and what if anything Amazon plans to counter this device with.
