A possible huge leaked document concerning the xbox

Looks like last week was Apples week and this week is turning out to be a good and bad week for Microsoft.  Rumors around the web for the last few days is that the image above was taken from a leaked document concerning the future of the next Xbox console.

Some of what is said is in the document fall in line with the current rumors of a release date set for the next Xbox for next year with a new version of kinnect, along with the just announced Xbox glass tablet apps.  It also mentions that by 2015 there will be an updated version of kinnect that will include glasses (as shown in the above picture.)  According to this document the Xbox is trying to be your complete living room device to include bumped up specs from the current 360, a DVR option, along with more integrated TV functionality.  All for the rumored price of $299.

One other very interesting thing mentioned in the document was Microsoft's plans to buy out the Onlive gaming service.  Who they deemed as a real threat to the console industry if they can get more mainstream.  Would this be to integrate it into the next Xbox or to simply just buy it out to keep it from being a competitor is not truly known from this document.

Whether this will be all true or not is left to be seen.  The original leaked document has been pulled from the website which it was on, but all in all there isn't too many things surprising from this document.  If it is just someones idea of an online prank it was a very elaborate one for sure.

Microsoft says Xbox 360 will be around for well over two years.

Phil Spencer, the guy in charge of Microsoft Studios, has been quoted as saying that the xbox 360 will be around for well over two years.  He goes on to say that this console is at it's peak and that it will still have "legs to stand on," for a few more years.  He feels that this is the time to see really great content for the 360 and that there will be more to come in the near future.  Now, is this him telling us that the next xbox is more than two years away?  I doubt it, I think what he is trying to say is that even after the launch of the next xbox the 360 will be around for a while.  Just remember when the playstation 3 came out, the playstation 2 still was selling like crazy and games were still being made for it as well as the new system.  I think this is what we can expect after the next xbox is released.  The 360 is probably one of the better selling consoles out there and it will be around as Phil says for a few more years to come.  So don't worry that next xbox is still probably coming next  year.

This game makes me want to get another xbox, or maybe it's Halo...

Watch the official game trailer for Gears of War:  Judgement.  The game looks pretty cool from these details and makes me want to play it, too bad this is a xbox exclusive.

Tomb Raider gets a reboot, and it looks great.

The game that started a genre looks to be back to take the thrown away from Uncharted.  This game is very mature and very movie like in its quality.  I can't wait to find out more at the E3 xbox showcase.

All about Lord of The Rings Trailers.

We have two other game trailers that have been released ahead of E3 that concern the Lord of the Rings Universe.

First up we have the Guardians of Middle Earth Trailer.

Get ready to battle it out as one of your favorite characters from the Lord of the Rings Universe in this MOB style game coming out this fall.  check out more info coming soon, I'm sure sometime during E3.

Also we have Lego Lord of the Rings.  I mean who doesn't just love playing out their favorite stories in lego form.  Check out the trailer below.

Also I just want to say holy crap did you see how big the One Ring was?  It wasn't a ring it was a belt for Frodo.  haha

I normally don't post much on the weekend but....

There has been tons of pre E 3 leaks and game info coming out since Thursday that I just couldn't wait till Monday to throw out these nice trailers that have been put out already.  Besides come Monday there will be plenty to talk about since E 3 will be well underway.

So the first info that has been leaked comes to you via Gameinformer, who just can't seem to keep a secret on any of their upcoming covers.

What you see here is an image for an upcoming Gears of War game that will be subtitled Judgement.  As you can see from the image of Baird he looks much younger and less battle warn so we can only imagine that this game will be a prequel of some sort.  From what we can gather there will be a lot more details during Microsoft's 9:30 am (pacific time) E 3 press conference.

Why I think the next xbox is at least 2 years away.

So I was just sitting around thinking.  It's something I think i do way to much of to be honest, but anyway what brought me to this conclusion was another recent announcement about the current xbox.  Remember the new deal where you could get an xbox 360 and a kinect for just $99 plus a two year agreement to pay $14.99 a month.  Well there is where I get this from.  Why would Microsoft put it's new customers in an agreement when their next big console they will want everyone to buy is just around the corner?  Yeah I don't think that makes sense for them.  I believe that in a way this was a sign for us as to how far away the next console is.  Yes we are hearing rumors of game studios being asked to prepare for this next console but just like any game for any other system it would take a few years to develop.  So it would make perfect sense that they are signing developers up early to prepare so that they will have games ready for launch.  I mean what good is a game console with out games right?  Anyway that is my thought on the matter.  You may talk amongst yourselves now...

Xbox 360 and kinnect for only $99?

It is rumored that the Microsoft will announce sometime around E3 that they will start offering a 4gig xbox along with a kinect for only $99, with a $15 a month, two year subscription fee.  Now we know that part of that 15 dollars will go to cover the Xbox Live Gold pass, but what exactly does the other part cover.  Just the cost of the Xbox or will it include the rumored Woodstock music service or some yet unknown video streaming service?  We will just have to wait and see if this actually happens when E3 comes around.

Spec Ops: The Line

I had never even heard of this game until the other day and decided to do a little research.  It is a game which plans to compete with the Call of Duty franchise with out just being another clone of that franchise.  From what I can gather from the info available it seems to be trying to focus on being a more mature type of game.

Microsoft releasing a Spotify competitor?

Rumors abound today on the interwebs about the possibility of Microsoft announcing at E3 their own version of a Spotify service for their xbox platform.  It would be code named Woodstock.  Pretty clever name for a music service but I would have a feeling that if this is true it would be released for even more things than just the xbox such as the Windows phone and Windows in general.  It will be interesting to see if this comes to pass and exactly how Microsoft would plan to blow Spotify out of the water.

Halo 4 release date set for November

343 studios, the new team behind the halo franchise will be releasing the new sequel to Halo on November 6th 2012.  Microsoft formally announced yesterday.  I am interested to see how this new team does with the franchise especially since they will be bring back our favorite character Master Chief.  It also appears from the announcement that they plan to keep Halo going for at least a decade longer with a new saga for the series.  It will be interesting to see who the game lives up to the previous games.  It is odd seeing a Halo game with out the name Bungie attached to it.

Bethesda's trailer for their new game Dishonored.

If you like steam punk, or Skyrim or well anything awesome and graphically amazing check out the Video for the first look at Dishonored below!  Simply great looking game.
Available for PC, XBOX, and PS3 sometime this year.
