Blizzard is making some people very unhappy.

In the latest update of Diablo III, Blizzard has started a new policy as to where anyone who buys the digital copy of the game will be in restricted access for the first 72 hours of owning it.  Basically this means that you are stuck at level 13, no auction house, and limited interactions with other players.  This has already caused a lot of outrage but Blizzard is quoted as saying that this is a necessary step in order to combat fraud and to help keep everyone happy while playing the game.  I really feel like Blizzard could of came up with a better way to combat fraud other than this.  I mean they require you to constantly be online to play the single player game already.  You would think they could throw down the Banhammer whenever they felt like it.

Already angered by Blizzard, South Korea is making Blizzard issue refunds to players because of all the Error messages and inability to play the game when it was first released.  It seems that Korea is ran by gamers for sure.  haha.  I can only imagine what they will do once they hear this new twist to the Diablo III mess.

Starcraft 2 could work on a Wii U?

According to Kotaku, a Blizzard Lead Designer has stated that StarCraft 2 could work.  Now he didn't say they were designing it or even started on a project like this so just calm down.  But it is an interesting statement none the less.  I am sure thought that Blizzard is still very skiddish when it comes to porting their games over to a console.  Even with the Wii U's tablet, there is still no replacement for a keyboard, which is almost mandatory for any serious gameplay for the majority of Blizzards games.  Hotkeys, anyone?

This is still a very fun thought though, what if Blizzard brought Starcraft over to a console?  They would definitely have to redo the control scheme to make it work.  Though I still would not know how they could replace the keyboard in this game.

Another idea would be a port of just the single player only option.  That would be interesting to see in deed.  But hey Starcraft is nice but give me my Diablo III on my PlayStation 3, NAO!!!!

Activision Blizzard up for Sale? Say what...

Bloomberg is reporting that the parent company of Activision Blizzard, Vivendi, is meeting later this month to discuss the possible sale of its share in the gaming division to the highest bidder.

Bloomberg citing "people with knowledge of the matter,"  reports that the executive meeting later this month is just one part of a restructuring plan that Vivendi is playing around with along with spinning off the cable television division Canal Plus.

What would that mean for Activision Blizzard?  We would have to see who buys them to be completely sure of that.

Diablo 3's Real Money Auction House looks to be delayed Indefinitely.

Blizzard has announced that it will be delaying the introduction of it's Real Money Auction House.  The reason for this Blizzard says, is because they are trying to iron out some bugs in this system to make sure it works great.  Personally, I have a feeling that this is due to the fact that they recently had some hacked accounts reported recently.  Also, Blizzard finally admitted that they did confirm that these attacks happened and that they happened to people who were using their authenticator system.  A definitely troubling thing indeed if someone has figured out how to break this unique security code generating program that Blizzard offers to all of it's products to keep such things from happening.  Also there is still no word yet as to when the PVP system will be put into place.  Hopefully this feature is not being delayed like the Real Money Auction house will be.

Diablo 3 having lots of launch problems.

As everyone expected, there have been a lot of server and gameplay issues with Diablo III in the last few days.  If you go to search for reviews on the game so far all you will probably find or just complaints and funny mime's people have made of themselves waiting to play the game.

Since so many people have bought this game it looks like it has brought the mighty Blizzard's servers to it's knees.  Sadly you would think they would of prepared for this kind of thing.  But as everyone expected there would be some kind of problem.  I mean isn't it a bad thing that we as a gaming community have became so used to games being released with problems or errors that we just accept it and move on.  Seriously though I would love for once, just for one game to come out actually finished the way it was intended.  Besides, come on Blizzard you make a single player game require you to be logged into a constant internet connection to be able to play it, yet you don't have your servers prepared correctly.  Shame on you Blizz, Shame on you!

Blizzard wants their cut!

Yesterday blizzard announced more details involving the upcoming auction house for Diablo 3. The not is surprising part of it is that they will receive 15% of all auctions in their real cash auction houses. Now you didn't really think blizzard was going to let you earn all that real world cash in their game without getting a cut of it,now did you?
